What are skin tags?

'Skin-tags' is a general term, used for small nodule-like bumps, moles, cysts or extra growths that can occur within the skin around the eye. These are usually painless, and harmless, but can be a cosmetic blemish.

How can they be removed?                                                                                                              Removal is easy, as they are usually small. But when you need that procedure around the eye, it is best to trust an eye plastic surgeon. There are several strict principles to be followed for tag removals around the eye so as to avoid complications.                                                           Using Radiofrequency cautery, they can be removed in a bloodless manner, with best possible healing. The procedure takes 10-15 minutes, and is a day care process. Pain is almost always never felt after the procedure, and healing takes a week or two.
